Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddling School: Directed by Alasdair Fraser, the Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddling School in the northern California redwoods invites you to a week of intensive study, recreation, and good times with people who share an interest in the music and dance traditions of Scotland. In the beautiful setting of Camp Campbell in the Santa Cruz mountains, fiddlers of all ages and levels of musical experience choose from daily workshops on Scottish and related fiddle styles. Additional classes are offered in dancing, singing, mandolin, percussion, and piano, guitar, and cello accompaniment for fiddle tunes.
Creative Strings Summer Camp: For ages 8 through teens. Come enjoy music and art. Violin, viola and cello students explore improv games, fiddling, blues and world styles in a nurturing, creative environment, and participate in a daily art class. They will perform a live soundtrack to a narrated story, illustrated by their own artwork...a rich multi-media experience. Irene Sazer, an original member of the Turtle Island String Quartet, is currently the leader of the Real Vocal String Quartet.

Teen and Kids' Celtic Music Camp: Learn and perform tunes from Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, Brittany, Celtic Spain, Scandinavia, and America, hang out in the California redwood forest, meet new friends, and have a great time! These traditional music camps are for intermediate to advanced players of fiddle, flute, penny whistle, recorder, oboe, harp, guitar, banjo, dulcimer, keyboards, accordion, percussion, cello, bassoon and other traditional instruments. Other activities include dancing, swimming, crafts, knitting, campfire, and bamboo flute making.
