About the CD:
We recorded the CD between April and June 2006 at with Richard Bryant at Greystone Studios in Monterey, California. We mixed the project in the Fall of 2006 with Jimmy Hobson in San Anselmo, California, and mastered it with Ken Lee at Ken Lee Mastering in Oakland, California. The graphics for the CD were designed by Shannon and me and created by the design team at Disk Makers. The text was written by Shannon and me, and edited by Mari Lynch Dehmler of Monterey, California and www.FineWordworking.com. The CD went into production at Disk Makers in New Jersey in December 2006 and returned to us in 13 large boxes on December 26, 2006. Since a mutual resonance with Celtic music brought Sweetfire together, we decided to make this genre the focus of our first CD. All the arrangements on this disk are the inspiration of the individual musicians recorded and include many improvised harmonies and even a few non-traditional instruments such as the Indian Tabla, Afro-Cuban Clave, and Middle Eastern Doumbek.
