As of Thursday afternoon no further damage had been made by the CZU forest fire on the property where I live, but no one could get past the CHP blockades yesterday so we don’t know what has transpired in the last 36 hours, except reports that the fire continued down the main road near us, burning homes and starting to threaten the little mountain towns in the valley below us. A few more friends have unfortunately received confirmation that their homes are gone, but a few with places that seemed on the verge of destruction according to the reports have miraculously survived. We’re still waiting on edge and the satellite map as of this morning personally gives some renewed hope that although the fire has encircled our neighborhood on three sides, we’ve been spared. Please keep the community and other areas in CA also experiencing fires right now in your prayers.
