My new trio, Bright Side Band, with Jon Rubin, guitar, and Shannon Miller, vocals, finished the year with an experimental live home recording session of a medley of two traditional tunes - Johnny Has Gone for a Soldier and Pretty Girl Milking a Cow (got to love fiddle tune names!). Shannon and I added our vocals and violin respectively to Jon's complex fingerstyle guitar arrangement for quite an otherworldly mix. We were lucky to have John Mount document the afternoon for the following behind the scenes video:
