Today we release "American Refugee," the first single from our upcoming album "Driving by Candlelight" due for release in October. It's an original song I wrote back in 2016 and while it might appear to be political, my message is of hope and the fact that "We're all in this together."

Song credits: Lyrics by Laurel Thomsen. Music by Dan Frechette & Laurel Thomsen. Violin and vocals by Laurel Thomsen. Acoustic guitars and ukulele by Dan Frechette. Double bass by Stan Poplin. Drums and percussion by Jimmy Norris.

This video was filmed, produced, and edited by Laurel Thomsen, with additional video footage by Dan Frechette, Jacqueline Kabat, Vince Tuzzi, Paul Little, The Peoples Media Project, The Moving Image Archive, and Brent Adams of Subcommodante Films and the Homeless Outside in Santa Cruz project.
