It would be hard to argue that rhythm is the foundation of all music. In it's simplest form, we find a steady beat, or not so steady as the case may be... Sometimes problems with rhythm aren't caused by what we thought they were. Whether you’re just starting out and wondering how to decipher the different note values we find in our pieces or a teacher frustrated with students who just can’t seem to keep a beat, the following Violin Geek Podcast episodes cover our standard note values and all the common and surprising reasons why we might always be spot on with our rhythm. Happy Practicing!
